THE JOHN MONTGOMERY SCHOLARSHIP - DICKINSON COLLEGE

Award: a $10,000 per year scholarship for each of four undergraduate years of study. This scholarship, awarded at the time of admission, is worth $40,000 of tuition support for eight semesters of full-time study at the college.

Awarded to any high school junior who has received an individual nomination for a Hershey Theatre Apollo Award AND has been accepted into Dickinson during their senior year.

THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATER AWARDS PROGRAM

The National High School Musical Theater Awards, established by the Nederlander Alliance LLC and Pittsburgh CLO, awards excellence in high school musical theater.

The students who receive the Hershey Theatre Apollo Award for Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress and Actor in a Musical will be invited to travel to New York to participate in the national program.

The Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance By an Actor is awarded annually to two grand prize winners selected from a group of student performers representing 16 participating professional theaters. Winners are selected by a panel of industry experts and receive four-year scholarship assistance to attend NYU’s Tisch School for the Arts Department of Drama contingent upon acceptance into the program.

The Jimmy Award for an Outstanding Arts Education Program is selected annually by an adjudicated panel and recognizes excellence in high school fine arts education by honoring a high school teacher or administrator who demonstrates an enduring commitment to quality performing arts education. The award comes with a $5,000 cash prize to be applied toward the winning individual’s fine arts program.
